This site may seem a little confusing with people that shift into animals and what else they can do and what they can't do. Well this should tell you almost everything you need to know about shapeshifters {known as shifters on this site}
● Shifters are shapeshifters. A shapeshifter is a human that can turn into any animal, but usually stick to just one.
● On this site you can be any animal found in northern North America. I'm not limiting species to just Alaska. You can pick an animal native to Canada, Washington, just nothing that is down in Florida that wouldn't be seen in the cold, Alaskan climate.
● Shifters aren't half animal and half human. They can shift from animal to human whenever they want.
● Shifters eyes can change colors if you want them to. If you don't that is fine too. Powers are also allowed. You can pick your shifter's power if it isn't too farfetched and unrealistic.
● If two shifters have a child that child would be a shifter too.
● If a shifter and human have a child they can be one or the other. Very rarely a mix will occur when they can only shift into one animal and they can't control when or where they shift.
● If a shifter shifts into a mammal, the fur sprouts from their skin. When they change back, the fur retracts.
● A person isn't born able to shift, it usually first happens in the teen years or late childhood years. Between the ages of 10 and 16 is when it usually happens. If a child about 10 years old shifts, they look like a young version of that animal. Example: If a ten year old child shifts into a wolf they wouldn't be a pup, but they wouldn't be an adult.
● When a shifter is in their animal form they can't talk and they only make animal sounds.
● A shifter in their animal form has the same senses as that animal. They have the same sight, hearing, and smelling ranges as that animal, even in their human form.

Can they be half animal and half human as a change?

Ehhh. I'll think about that. I kind of like the animal or human idea...not both at the same time

Hmm...I would think...(just an idea) that it could either be one or the other. If it was mixed it might be a little awkward. Now perhaps if in human form they could talk to animals and Vice versa?...that is if it is created as an option.
EDIT: then again the more I think about it to have half and half would almost be giving them too much power and would take away alot of scenarios and takes away the challenge...
